2011 PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR: HONEYSUCKLE

Who doesn't like seeing the world through rose colored glasses?!

Honeysuckle (Pantone 18-2120 TCX), a reddish pink color, is a "...great spirit-lifter," says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. Honeysuckle is a cheery antidote to our stressful times. According to Pantone, Honeysuckle is "Courageous. Confident. Vital. A brave new color, for a brave new world. Let the bold spirit of Honeysuckle infuse you, lift you and carry you through the year. It’s a color for every day – with nothing “everyday” about it."

Shades of pink work well with every skin tone and make anyone who wears this color look amazing.

Add a shot of Honeysuckle to your decor this year with an accent wall, a throw pillow, flowers...

Or...make a bold statement and paint an entire room pink!

According to Eiseman, “[Honeysuckle] goes with more than you think it goes with. Use it against black, chocolate brown. Navy is a no-brainer, even gray."
