I recently enjoyed a long lunch with a girlfriend at Bleu Boheme in Kensington and feel it worthy of listing it as one of my favorite places to eat in San Diego. The atmosphere is rustic, quaint, french bohemian; hence the name. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is best described as Nouveau French, which means a modern twist on traditional french. There are many wonderful menu options for those adverse to eating frog legs and escargot. We ordered wine from their extensive list and I had one of their delicious sandwiches that came with the Bleu Boheme fries. The fries are particularly worth noting as they were thinly sliced, perfectly fried and seasoned with lavender - surprisingly yummy!

I love that the Beltran Restaurant group, the creators of Bleu Boheme, cares about the entire experience. It doesn't go unnoticed that they pay attention to the details and are consistent in theme with their menu choices, ingredients, decor and branding.

I highly recommend Blue Boheme for a long afternoon lunch with a good friend or even an intimate party celebration in their private dining room.

Bon Appetit!
